WWII "Yank" Magazine (April 13, 1945)
Yank magazine was a weekly U.S. Army publication written by and for active-duty soldiers during WWII. The first issue was published on June 17, 1942. By its fifth publication, on July 15, 1942, the Army made it available to stateside servicemen and women, however it was never sold to the general public. This particular magazine is dated April 13, 1945 and is addressed to Technician 5th Grade Jas. D. Cramer, a Chicago, Illinois resident. The cover exhibits Sergeant Howard Brodie's famous sketch, Rifle Company Medic, and is perhaps the most desirable issue of Yank.
