WWII Westinghouse Paratrooper M1-C Helmet Liner (Cut A-yokes)
This is an original U.S. WWII Westinghouse manufactured paratrooper helmet liner. Unfortunately, its factory installed A-yokes have been cut, however remnants are still visible beneath the blackened brass A-washers, which date the liner's production from mid-1944 to 1945. The Paul K. Weil Co. produced khaki suspension is strong and intact. It has recently been outfitted with an original faintly-stamped headband and a 1945 dated Lapeer Fabricators, Inc. manufactured neckband. The exterior retains its original white repaint with remnants of a Civil Defense decal. This liner would display quite nicely in an M1-C paratrooper helmet shell.
