WWII USMC Entrenching Tool T-Handle Shovel & Cover
This is an original WWII USMC T-handle shovel set. The shovel itself is of WWI production, with "U.S." stamped in both the steel and wood. It was quite common for Marines, at the early stages of the war, to be issued recycled WWI gear. The canvas cover exhbits the USMC-style bent wire hook and transitional webbing. This would display quite nicely when installed in an original M1941 upper pack.
