This original U.S. WWII M1 helmet set is in well-used condition. The McCord manufactured front seam swivel loop helmet shell's heat stamp of 9_0F dates its production to mid-1944. It retains its original, albeit rusty, olive drab factory finish, cork texture, and OD#3 (khaki) chinstraps. The straps exhibit a flat brass buckle. It has recently been paired with a Westinghouse manufactured helmet liner. The liner features blackened brass A-washers, dating its production from mid-1944 to 1945. It comes complete with an original L. & N. Specialties headband, neckband, and black-buckled leather liner strap. Like the helmet, itself, all of the accessories date from 1944. The liner's exterior showcases its original olive drab factory paint.
