WWII U.S. Army Honorable Service "Ruptured Duck" Patch (Khaki Backing)
This is an original WWII U.S. Army Honorable Service patch, affectionately referred to by servicemen as the "Ruptured Duck". These were issued to help authorities identify those servicemen who had already been honorably discharged, but were still overseas and in uniform. This particular example has a gold embroidered eagle, khaki backing, and was at some point removed from a uniform.
