WWII Navy Swivel Loop McCord M1 Helmet Shell (February 1944)
This original WWII U.S.N. McCord manufactured front seam swivel loop M1 helmet shell is in great condition. The heat stamp of 801C dates the helmet's production to February 1944. It retains its original battleship grey-blue paint, cork texture, and khaki chinstrap. The chinstrap features a steel buckle in the "raised bar" variety. The helmet's swivel loops are strong and intact. There are a couple stress cracks at the rear. This helmet would pair very nicely with a high pressure helmet liner with green-painted steel A-washers.
