WWII Leather Liner Strap With Flat Green Steel Buckle
This is an original early-WWII leather liner strap. The Goldsmith Bros. manufactured leather is quite soft and supple. The green painted steel buckle is the early variety with the flat lip, dating the strap's production from late-1942 to mid-1943. It features green-painted steel rivets. This would be an ideal strap for a helmet liner with non-painted steel A-washers (including Hawleys and St. Clairs).
