This original WWII Italian M33 helmet is a rarity in that it remains in its wartime condition. Stenciled at the front of the helmet, atop a field repaint, is the original frieze (insignia) of the infantry, consisting of crossed rifles and swords beneath the crown of the King of Italy, Victor Emmanuel III. The helmet's interior brim is stamped "S 110", and scratched into the paint is "Mambrilla" - interestingly, a surname of Spanish origin. The helmet comes complete with its original size 59 leather liner, twine drawstring, and chinstrap - all of which show consistent wear. The chinstrap exhibits wartime ordnance markings and two retaining rivets, while the leather liner bares the textbook "Z"-stitching. Unfortunately, it is missing a couple split pins that secure the leather to the liner band. If you've ever wanted an M33, you would be hard-pressed to find a more desirable example.
