This is an original WWII German manufactured M42 helmet set. The wearer's left side exhibits the nearly undetectable remnants of an original Luftwaffe eagle decal's right wing. Its original Luftwaffe-blue field repaint is flaking, revealing a rusty shell. The inside brim is size stamped EF62, lot number of 3092, denoting mid-1943 production by the Emaillierwerke A.G., Fulda factory. The interior retains its original leather liner and slightly damaged chinstrap. The size 55 liner, however, is in excellent condition. The helmet's split pins and washers are all original and show no signs of tampering.
