This is an original and complete WWII German single decal Waffen SS M40 helmet set. It is in combat-used condition. The helmet's original feldgrau finish shows minor surface rust throughout. The original ET SS decal is approximately 55% intact. The helmet's inside brim is size stamped ET64 lot number 907, denoting 1941 production by the Eisenhüttenwerke, Thale factory. The stampings correspond with another confirmed Waffen SS helmet recorded in Brian Ice's research on German helmet lot numbers. The helmet's interior retains its original size 56 leather liner and 1941-dated E.E.K. Kop manufactured chinstrap. The leather components are strong and intact, but do show some wear and damage. The helmet's split pins and washers are all original and show no signs of tampering.
