WWII German M35 Reissued Ex-Double Decal Heer Helmet & Liner Set (SE62)
This original WWII German M35 helmet has an exceptional combat-used appearance. When this helmet was originally issued, it would have likely exhibited a semi-gloss factory finish and a decal on each side. After March 1940, the National Colors decal was removed, coinciding with the order from German high command, directing the omission of National Colors decals from all helmets. Following additional combat use, it underwent a wartime refurbishment, where the helmet's exterior was painted in a textured feldgrau finish, covering the somewhat still visible Heer decal in the process. This would have likely been done shortly after August 28th, 1943, following the order to remove all remaining decals from all helmets. The helmet's interior brim is size stamped SE62, along with the lot number of 6327, denoting 1940 production by the Sachsichse Emaillierwerke, Lauter factory. It comes complete with its original leather liner, drawstring, and aluminum-buckled leather chinstrap - all of which show heavy and consistent use. The split pins and washers are all original and show no signs of tampering.
