WWII Fixed Loop McCord M1 Helmet Shell (June 1942)
This is an original early-WWII U.S. McCord manufactured front seam fixed loop M1 helmet shell. The heat stamp of 202 dates the helmet's production to June 1942. It retains its original factory paint, cork texture, and khaki chinstrap. The chinstrap exhibits the early cast-brass buckle, carried over from the M1917A1 helmet. A large stress crack is visible at the front. This helmet would be an ideal match for a liner with non-painted steel A-washers.
