WWII Fixed Loop McCord M1 Helmet Shell (April 1942)
This is an original early-WWII U.S. McCord manufactured fixed loop M1 helmet shell. The heat stamp of 123B dates the helmet's production to April 1942. It retains its original factory paint, cork texture, and field-repaired khaki chinstrap, which is unfortunately missing its buckle. The helmet's early style fixed loops are strong and intact. Whether the new owner decides to match the helmet with a well-used liner, or restore it with an intact chinstrap, this helmet will make an excellent display piece.
