WWI U.S. Canteen, Cup, & Cover (ID'd Set)
This in an original WWI U.S. canteen set. Each component dates to 1918 and bares the last four digits of its original owner's serial number, "7809." The same veteran once owned this mess kit (not included). The OD#3 canvas cover was manufactured by Brauer Bros. Manufacturing Co. The canteen was manufactured by T J.W.B.M. Co. and the cup was produced by L.F. & C. The cork inside the cap has deteriorated. This would display quite nicely when installed on an original cartridge belt.
