Mid-WWII U.S. Westinghouse M1 Helmet Liner (1943-44)
This is an original mid-WWII U.S. Westinghouse manufactured M1 helmet liner. The green-painted steel A-washers date the liner's production from mid-1943 to mid-1944. The khaki suspension remains strong and intact. It has recently been completed with an original Lapeer Fabricators, Inc. headband and Scholl Manufacturing Co. neckband. The liner's original factory finish is in excellent condition, however there is a small crack at the rear. This liner would pair quite nicely with either a fixed loop or swivel loop M1 helmet shell.
