This listing is for a single original WWII USMC camouflage mosquito net helmet cover, however several are available. Two main varieties of these helmet covers were produced during the war: those with an interupted khaki foliage band (type A) and those with a continuous green foliage band (type B). These examples are the later-produced and more common type B variation, shown in the wartime photo atop the head of an African-American Marine and member of the 16th Field Depot on Peleliu in September 1944 (second from left). These covers are in good condition, however care should be expressed during the installation process as the mesh material has been known to tear if not handled delicately. Camouflage mosquito nets are a unique and more affordable alternative to standard helmet covers. The cover you receive might not be the exact one shown here; however it will be substantially similar and, of course, original.
