Late-WWII U.S. Hawley Sun Helmet
This original late-WWII U.S. pith tropical sun helmet was manufactured by Hawley Products Co. in St. Charles, Illinois. It is from the 44889 contract, dating to May 31, 1944. This helmet is in good condition. It still retains its original lining, but is unfortunately missing its web chinstrap. The interior features the hand-written name of its original owner, "E. E. 'Marty' Martin". This helmet would serve as a great addition to a USMC display.
