Early-WWII Westinghouse M1 Helmet Liner With Rayon Suspension
This is an original early-WWII Westinghouse manufactured M1 helmet liner. It features non-painted steel A-washers and a first pattern rayon suspension, dating the liner's production to mid-1942. The Paul K. Weil Co. manufactured rayon suspension is strong and intact. It has recently been outfitted with an original Johnson & Johnson size 4 rayon neckband and a size 7 3/8 rayon headband. The liner's exterior retains its original factory paint finish. There are a couple small cracks throughout.
