Early-WWII USMC Camouflage Mosquito Net Helmet Cover (Type A)
This listing is for a single original WWII USMC camouflage mosquito net helmet cover, however three are available. Two main varieties of these helmet covers were produced during the war: those with an interupted khaki foliage band (type A) and those with a continuous green foliage band (type B). All three of the available helmet covers are of the earlier produced and far rarer type A variety, commonly seen atop the heads of Marines fighting on Tarawa in November of 1943. These are in good used condition, however care should be expressed during the installation process as the mesh material has been known to tear if not handled delicately. Camouflage mosquito nets are a unique and more affordable alternative to standard helmet covers.
