Early-WWII M1 Helmet Liner Headband (Double Wire)
This is an original early-WWII headband. Its manufacturer markings have unfortunately faded beyond legibility. It features the 'double-wire' buckle variation, dating the headband's production from early-1942 to mid-1942. The leather has darkened with use, but remains soft and pliable. This headband would be ideal for all helmet liners with non-painted steel A-washers (including Hawleys and low-pressure liners).
