Early-WWII M1 Helmet Liner Headband (Double Wire)
This original WWII headband's manufacturer markings have faded over time. It features the 'double wire' buckle variation, dating the headband's production from early-1942 to mid-1942. The sweat-stained leather remains pliable and the khaki fabric is strong, but dirt-coated. This would be an ideal headband for all helmet liners with non-painted steel A-washers (including Hawleys and low-pressure liners).
