This is an original early-WWII Imperial Japanese Army 10x45° "rabbit ears" trench periscope, without its tripod base. It is marked "TOKO No. 9732", which denotes early-war production by the Tokyo Arsenal in Tokyo, Japan. At some point it was painted black, however its IJA tan finish remains visible. The optics are in quite good condition, although one of the large, hooded lenses is chipped, and there is some light overspray on the oculars. Unfortunately, some screws are missing and other pieces are damaged, making it an ideal candidate for restoration.
